“Whether traditional or modern, I create spaces that function in today’s world, the way we live now. I will make sure your surroundings do more than just function. Hey, what’s wrong with living out your fantasy?” As principal at StudioDykas, Marty’s design experience goes back nearly three decades. His passion for design was formed growing up in rural Connecticut. Other kids were collecting comic books while he was sketching floor plans and saving copies of Architectural Digest.
This love of design led him to study design in New York City, eventually working with Jay Spectre and then as design director at The Pace Collection. He later moved to San Francisco to experience the California lifestyle, starting his own design firm creating highly personalized residential and commercial projects. With a portfolio of work from San Francisco to Paris, Marty has absorbed the best these special locations have to offer. He won recognition from the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and has been a recurring featured designer on Home and Garden Television (HGTV). Marty currently lives in Boston with his fiancé and baby daughter Hannah and feels, “lucky to be having fun working with clients that I also consider friends.”
