Pacific Heights Flat

Bridging conceptual space between a century-old Edwardian flat and the owner’s predilection for Japanese design, a balance was found in cool, natural materials contrasted with dark stained floors and strong geometric shapes. A stone-slab fireplace grounds the living room while walnut panels in the master bedroom frame the bathtub. Translucent panels slide along walls to conceal closets and bathrooms. The space invites a very personal meeting of East and West.
